We will be open for the 2022 season.
We are 100% committed to both our Clients and Staff.
We will be following COVID-19 safety protocols.
As we all know the worldwide pandemic has severely affected people in all walks of life.
Since late January we have been actively working with both state, federal government, and local village elders. Our decision to open the lodge has been made with carful safety consideration.
By following COVID-19 safety protocols we are able to open
Since 1978 our business has endured volcanic eruptions, earth quakes, droughts, floods, recessions, and the no-fly restrictions of 9-11. We have never failed to fulfill a single contract with our clients and have always made payroll for our staff. We will continue to provide the trips we have promised to our clients and keep our staff working.
Most of our trips fill up years in advance. 25% of our clients are from overseas, and with international travel restrictions some of our clients simply cannot get to Alaska in 2020. This has created openings during the peak season.
Give us a call as we are offering some very special once in a lifetime deals.

Traveling alone? No problem we welcome single fisherman, couples or groups
In addition to our regular fly-out and jet-boat day trips, the following remote adventures are available for our guests:
KING SALMON FISHING:
Guests of Bristol Bay Sportfishing fish for King salmon - Alaska's largest salmon species - on prime rivers in Southwest Alaska. We maintain our own King salmon camp on the Nushagak River. Each year hundreds of thousands of mighty Kings migrate right past our island on their way upriver. We Provide boats, guides, and all necessary equipment. The tent accomodations are very comfortable for guests who want to fish late and go to bed happily tired from catching fish.
TOUR RICHARD "DICK" PREONNEKE'S CABIN:
Richard Preonekke lived a solitary life on upper Twin Lake in what is now the Lake Clark National Park. His cabin is constructed almost entirely from natural materials found in the area. He documented this endeavour on film and it was later turned into a documentary entitled One Man's Wildernessthat was aired on PBS. Richard lived alone for over 30 years in this beautiful region. His amazing home is just a short flight away and truly a sight to behold.
SCENIC TRIPS, WILDLIFE AND PHOTOGRAPHY:
Spend a week on a true bush adventure, exploring the remote regions of Southwest Alaska. With a personal floatplane at your disposal each day, you will have endless opportunities to explore, sightsee and photograph.
You will be landing on the remote coastal estuaries of Shelikoff Straight and Cape Douglas and walk through grasslands where families of Brown bear meander from clam digging beaches to lie down for an afternoon nap. Whale, sea lion, sea otters, seals and hundreds of species of sea birds populate these coastal areas. You will visit Round Island Walrus Sanctuary. Hike and beachcomb, and explore waterfalls, fossil beds and agate beaches. Land in a volcano crater lake and hike the rim for breathtaking views.
Journey to the Katmai Valley of 10,000 Smokes and Brooks River Falls. Then, the next day, fly over Caribou herds to the west and Dall Sheep high in the Alaska Range. Raft the class 5 Newhalen River Gorge, or fly out for a remote day boat trip, fishing as much or as little as you like. Each day brings a new adventure; day’s end brings you back to the lodge and all the comforts of home.
